Looking for a place to camp, a walk on the beach? A hike through the woods, hoping to spot some wildlife? Or just a place to relax and rediscover yourself? Deep in the Pacific Northwest you can find some of the most beautiful places, and here I am to introduce you to Voice of America. A 216-acre national wildlife refugee and recreation area located in Sequim, Washington. Growing up in the area, Voice of America has turned into a staple for my life. Flying kites on the beach as a child, camping with friends, watching the sunset with my entire senior class the last night of high school, to having picnics and painting on the bluffs. This little sliver of heaven has everything you might need and more.
Escape into this nationally protected park, getting a taste of my hometown adventures while creating your own. Please note: While we do encourage you to go on as many adventures as possible, please make sure you are taking the correct precautions when visiting different towns and areas. Spreading COVID-19 is the last thing we want to do. Protect yourself, your earth, and your peers, first and foremost. Author: Cortney Marie Gosset
